Winter Weather Advisory Issued
Posted on February 9th, 2012 No commentsA Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Central Kentucky and Southern Indiana for Friday at 6pm until Saturday morning. A mix of rain and snow Friday changing to snow Friday night. 1-2 inches of snow expected. Temperatures to drop in the 20′s by Saturday.
Roads will be slick and driving conditions hazardous. Please use caution while driving.

Winter Weather Advisory in Effect
Posted on January 12th, 2012 No commentsA Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the Louisville and Jefferson County area until 9:00 a.m. Friday. While accumulations are expected to be small, periods of heavy snow are expected. Temperatures are expected to drop and icy roads are likely. Wind is also expected to create blowing snow and white out conditions. Travel may be hazardous.

Up to three inches in Louisville alone. Low lying areas are prone to water accumulation so drivers should avoid these areas or exercise extreme caution.

According to the Weather Service, “IF YOU ARE DRIVING…SLOW DOWN AND KEEP BOTH HANDS ON THE WHEEL. KEEP A SAFE DISTANCE BETWEEN VEHICLES AND FROM CARS IN ADJACENT LANES AS STRONG WINDS COULD PUSH YOUR CAR OUTSIDE ITS LANE OF TRAVEL.”

Periods of limited visibility may also occur. A Winter Weather Advisory mean periods of snow will primarily cause travel difficulties including snow-covered roads and limited visibility.
